Assigned to the Nutrition and Care Division and the Animal Nutrition Business Line, this site comprises a production area, a laboratory, and an experimental farm.

Production area: The plant produces different species of microorganisms. In each case, the basic production process is aerobic fermentation of the microorganism in a non-genetically modified culture broth. The various microorganisms obtained are mixed with the appropriate carrier to make different product ranges: Ecobiol® and Fecinor®.

An integrated management system based on the international ISO 9001 (quality) and FAMIQS standards has been established in Leon. The management system is certified by an external party. The system identifies environmental aspects of the site’s activities, as well as legal and other requirements, and considers these as a basis for setting objectives and targets and for establishing an environmental management program. Air emission points are regularly monitored in keeping with current regulations.

Products:  The Leon plant produces probiotics. The site’s main products are Ecobiol® and Fecinor®, which are manufactured in different concentrations with different excipients. A new product has been launched in 2023: Gut Care. All of the plant’s products are feed additives for stabilizing gut flora.
