Evonik Antwerpen is the largest site of the international group outside Germany. The  site of 109 hectare has 10 Evonik production plants, each with its own specific functioning and own end products. This is also where Evonik operates the world’s largest plant for the production of methionine, an essential amino acid.

Antwerp manufactures products for a wide variety of applications. Products made here include raw materials for the production of silicones for the electronics and communications industry, as well as binding agents in printing inks, paints and coatings. Moreover, raw materials for car tires, bleaching agents, and environmentally friendly herbicides are also produced here.

Antwerp is distinguished by its excellent infrastructure. The port provides a logistical advantage for the site, as do its good connections by road and rail.
