How our products work
After the negative influences of human actions have become more and more drastic, it became obvious that damaging the environment sooner or later would also have a significant impact on humans themselves. As a result, there was a slow process of rethinking how to deal with the environment. Sustainability becomes more and more important in order to protect both health and environment. Especially in Europe there are a number of laws designed to minimize the negative environmental impact of our actions.

With our brand-new VESTA eCO grades Evonik swapped virgin fossil raw materials for renewable ones to make solvent, composite and coating systems much more sustainable. As the pioneer in isophorone chemistry, Evonik is currently the only company in the world offering a renewable I-Chain platform that includes isophorone, -diamine and -diisocyanate products. The new VESTA eCO series comes with a reduced CO2 footprint and can be used as a drop-in solution without compromising well known performance. All products are ISCC Plus certified.
